About Richard J Weaver Craft and Design
I was first introduced to the world of green woodworking and heritage crafts back in 2010 by Lee Southall, a talented craftsman and willow weaver. Lee’s passion and energy for the craft caught my attention and it wasn't long before I was hooked. My practical skills as a conservationist were put into good use and I found myself making spoons and kuksas in no time at all. I began making my own tools as I felt the commercial options weren’t quite suited to my style and needs. The tools I design and create come from my own experience as a green woodworker and are all used by me daily on different carving projects. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s this: I’m in love with the process, not just the end product. I truly believe that anyone can be creative and I want my tools to inspire you to discover your inventive side and to begin carving!
