About Theo Wright
Theo Wright is a textile designer and handweaver. Theo studied Computer Science at York University in the early 1980s and has spent many years working in technology research. A longstanding interest in textiles gradually turned into a change of career when he established his handwoven textiles business in 2011 following completion of a Textile Design BA at University College Falmouth. Theo was selected by the Crafts Council for their 2014 Hothouse business training and professional development programme. Since then he has been working woven artworks inspired by mathematics including Permutations and When Waves Collide, projects with funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Theo sells scarves via his website and regularly exhibits at craft fairs around the UK.
