Crochet and Cabin Lace
About Crochet and Cabin Lace
Crochet cabin lace and porthole cover patterns for narrowboat and home interiors. Crochet lace is traditionally used as edging strips to decorate the area of a canal narrowboat cabin between ceiling and wall, and along shelf edges. Strips of filet crochet lace can also be used to create curtains across windows, cafe net curtain stye, and crochet lace circles, rather like doilies, are used to cover portholes. Creating patterns of my own design and some adapted from contemporary early 20th century, or created from samples given to me to replicate and replace boat lace. I occasionally create other patterns and tutorials including a lace cushion cover, fingerless gloves, baby blanket and lap blanket.
