Specialised in
I began as a spinner, and the nature of the yarn used is fundamental to the cloth I make. As well as forty years' practical work in weaving and spinning I have an MPhil in textile history. I am interested in the learning and technical development of embodied skills and use both aspects of my practice to advantage in reconstructing fabrics from archaeological finds. In my own work I play with colour a lot, usually in simple weaves.
