Windsor Chair-making courses

I run both 5 and 7 day chair-making courses at a fantastic woodland workshop. On the 5 day course you make a simple side chair and on the 7 day you make an arm-chair. Over the week you’ll prep freshly felled wood using axes and drawknives then turn on the pole lathe. You’ll cleave spindles and shape with spoke shaves, steam bend the backs of your chair and shape a magnificent seat using adzes, inshaves, travishers and scrapers before assembling your very own chair!
