About Mike Groves
I make personable kitchenware out of wood that I forage in and around York. I make bowls, cups, scoops, spoons and spatulae. I predominantly use hand tools, but will not shy away from a powerlathe - purely because I just find them fun! My work is for sale, but it also forms a database for my doctoral research into the social experience of heritage, from the mind of the maker, with the Archaeology Department at the University of York.
