These Donkey Collars are a traditional Australian team version of collar. In the past, large teams of donkeys were harnessed to waggons in the Australian Outback [inland parts of South Australia, New South Wales & Western Australia, in particular] wearing collars such as these, for carting wool to the nearest rail-head, & for carting firewood on large stations.
