About Marcia Bennett Male

After completing a degree in fine art at Wolverhampton Polytechnic she was granted a scholarship to formally train as an architectural stone carver and letter cutter at The City & Guilds of London Art School, followed by a QEST scholarship to train as a stone mason at The Building Craft College, Stratford East. As a freelance carver and letter cutter Marcia has worked across the UK, the Italian Gardens in Hyde Park, London, Wentworth Castle in South Yorkshire, Stowe public school in Buckinghamshire as well as a commemorative plaque for the former slave Olaudah Equiano, Westminster Abbey, London. She has also worked in Ohio and California, USA.
