About Ella McIntosh
Contemporary pewter for your home and table handcrafted by Ella from her studio at Manchester Craft and Design Centre. Ella enjoys pushing the boundaries of modern pewter, a lead free metal which doesn't tarnish. Her work combines traditional pewtersmithing with her contemporary designs to create functional items often combining different textures within her pieces. Having initially trained as a Silversmith Ella has specialised in Pewter for the past seven years. She is passionate about Pewter, it's history on our tables and the heritage skills she uses everyday to create contemporary pewterware. Her work has been awarded by the Worshipful Company of Pewterers in 2006 and 2016 through their annual Pewter Live competition and she was delighted to recently by awarded a Creative and Cultural Skills Award recognising her programme of pewtersmithing workshops. Pewter and copper candlesticks
A set of candlesticks handcrafted by Ella using a variety of heritage metalwork and pewtersmithig techniques such as casting, forging and soldering. The candlesticks celebrate contemporary pewter with contrasting copper highlights.
