Lee Ankers the owner is a member of The Craft Guild of Traditional Bowyers and Fletchers. He is a Master Bowyer, Master Warbowyer, Master Fletcher and Master Stringer. Around 2007 Lee Ankers started making English Longbows and formed the company Heritage Longbows. The company has quickly built a reputation for making and supplying fast, flat shooting performance English Longbows. Over the years Heritage have started to make different types of bows from self bows to primitive bows and composite bows. Heritage are always looking to improve the construction and speed of our bows by using new materials and research. We also have the ability to manufacture all our own arrow shafts and arrows as we have invested heavily in machinery and tooling to enable us to do so. We are the biggest arrow shaft producer in the UK and can make any shaft or arrow from 1/4″ up to 1/2″ diameter! We supply equipment to people for all types of archery including field, target, clout, flight and roving marks. We also can and do supply equipment to reenactment groups, theater and film. We have recently supplied Cherokee bows and arrow making materials for the TV series Outlander.
