About Laura's Loom
I design and create weaving yarns and woven fabrics using predominantly British wools which I source directly from local farms in the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria. I work closely with British weaving mills to produce a range of scarves and throws designed by me and woven from my yarn. The yarn is also suitable for tweed and has been successfully used by knitters and tapestry weavers. I also weave bespoke and commission pieces in a variety of yarns on my handlooms.

Hebridean Classic Throws
Our Hebridean Classic Throws are woven from our own special blend of Hebridean, Black Welsh Mountain and Shetland wools. Most of the wool is grown in Cumbria, with the rest coming from the Scottish Highlands and Shetland. We spin the wool into a fine weaving yarn and weave the throws in the Scottish Borders. The natural colours are created through blending of the fleece, with no need for dyes. Weighing only slightly more than 1kg these superb lightweight blankets will keep you warm and cosy.
