Debbie Siniska

About Debbie Siniska
I am a rag rug maker, felt maker, artist, teacher and author. I work with traditional hand tools, and reclaimed textiles, and create mats, cushions and banners. I make felt clothing, hats and bags. I combine making with teaching in schools and colleges, and my book 'Rag Rugs Old into New' was published to coincide with my appearance on Channel 4 with Kirstie Allsopp on her 'Homemade Home' series 2. My work was commissioned by the Tate Gallery to accompany a Bloomsbury art exhibition, celebrating the milennium and I was commissioned by the Charleston Trust to recreate an original Bloomsbury rag rug, that now lies in Charleston Farmhouse. My work has been sold in National Trust properties. I am a member of the Sussex Arts Collective and the Heritage Crafts Association
