Independent Yarn Dyer, Weaver, spinner and knitter. I’m trying to keep history and cottage industry alive. I dye yarns and materials with botanical dyes, acid dyes, batic techniques, Indio dye and tie dye. I weave in a traditional weave styles and I also was trained in Japan with Saori weaving. I blend fibres, card fibres and make art yarns. I am also a re enactor going from Viking period onwards making historical clothing at times and trading at historical events.
Weaving (Historical patterns, weighted looms, floor looms, inkle loom, Saori Weaving & tablet weaving). Braiding (Sprang and Kumohimo) Spinning animal and plant fibres. Dyeing using plants and natural dyes, acid dyeing and colour hues. Historical clothing, nålbinding and authentic materials. Herbal Medicine and historic remedies.
