Welcome to The French Polishing Company – where we offer a professional, friendly finishing and repair service to both personal and trade clients. We are a family run business and have been established for over 35 years.  Our workshop is based in South West London and offer our services throughout London and the Home Counties.  We’re happy to travel around the UK for large projects and are experienced in working within listed and heritage homes

Our craft is in using traditional French Polishing techniques to transform furniture and interiors, offering plenty of options to expertly restore and renovate, giving furniture and interiors a whole new lease of life.  We  also offer a full range of floor sanding and finishing services to restore and care for specialist, heritage (ancient, listed/protected) wood floors.

Along with all this, we’re traditionally trained in the art of colour matching and custom staining – to take care of scratches, ring marks – the usual daily wear and tear – all at affordable prices
