Debra is a historical dyer working with natural dyes and recipes from the past, translating and bringing them into the present. She works with mainly silk, linen and wool, occasionally cotton and even alpaca. She dyes fibres for spinners and felt makers, yarns for knitters, crochetters, weavers, embroiderers, bookbinders, dress and costume makers, cloth for interior designers, dress and costume makers, museums, theatres. A key feature of her work is the light, wash and rubfastness testing on yarns suitable for carpet weaving ensuring that the dye quality is up to industry standard.
