5 Brig-Y-Don Hill
Traditional welsh agricultural basket. This basket is 20″ diameter and 10″ deep and was exhibited at Oriel Myrddyn Carmarthen as part of ‘The Table’ exhibition.
These baskets take over a year to make, the hoop and first 4 ribs are set on formas, the pattern of which has been handed down through generations. This one has a hazel frame and is woven using my home grown in Pembrokeshire Dark Dicks willow.
