Polish Assymetric Basket

These baskets are a contemporary adaptation of a round shopping basket.  This one is scaled up to Kindling size and stands half a metre high.  The ‘Double double’ french rand weave is particularly textural and appropriate for larger baskets.  I love foraging for these handles in hazel woods where honeysuckle grows through the under canopy, twists around the branches and makes this wonderful twisted effect.
