Folde Jewellery

About Folde Jewellery
Founded in London, Folde is the shared jewellery design studio of Robyn Smith and Birgit Toke Tauka Frietman. Folde, meaning earth in Old English, seeks to celebrate the endangered heritage craft of horn working in jewellery that speaks of everyday luxury.
Meeting at Central Saint Martins where they both studied, the designers found a similar sensibility in their approach to designing jewellery and their shared commitment to continue time-honoured craft techniques.
Horn, a byproduct of the meat industry, is a beautiful, uniquely textured material that would otherwise be disposed of. Pairing traditional heritage craft horn working techniques with modern technologies, Folde’s collections feel playful yet refined.
Each piece is handcrafted in their London studio using recycled silver, and made in small batches or as one-of-a-kind pieces.

Lina Earrings

Each LINA earring is a fluid silver line, folding over a natural piece of horn.
Inspired by the sensitive, sophisticated floral arrangements in Japanese Ikebana, the LINA Earrings elevate any daytime outfit and transition seamlessly to an elegant nighttime look.
The material:
The LINA earrings are handmade from organically textured recycled silver and horn – an ethically sourced byproduct of the leather industry.
Horn is a natural material, with varying patterns and colours, and therefore the finished earrings may look different from the images pictured. We currently have darker horn available – to discuss the colour ways for your piece, please email info@foldejewellery.com.

The LINA earrings are handmade to order. Please allow up to 4 weeks for them to be made by us and delivered.
